Premier Inn has apologised after one of its hotels and a nearby pub in Oxfordshire were evacuated as 50 firefighters dealt with a blaze.
The inferno originated in a “non-guest external area” of the hotel in Warmington near Banbury on Thursday afternoon.
All customers and staff of the Premier Inn and Wobbly Wheel pub were present outside after the buildings were emptied.
Fire crews from Oxfordshire and Warwickshire were called out to the blaze and continued to tackle it through the night.
Premier Inn spokesman Richard Prescott said: “We would like to apologise for any inconvenience that may have been caused.”
An investigation into how the fire started has begun.
