A property in London’s so-called Billionaires’ Row has been damaged by a blaze which engulfed most of the home’s staircase, first floor and roof, according to reports.
Eight fire crews attended the incident in the Bishops Avenuev in East Finchley in north London.
Three people escaped from the burning property unhurt although 40 firefighters took more than two hours to bring the blaze under control.
The crews attending the scene came from far afield, with firefighters arriving at the site from Finchley, Barnet, Willesden, Hornsey, West Hampstead, Wembley and Edmonton.
The cause of the fire – in the street known for attracting some of the world’s wealthiest people – is unknown at present.
