Firefighters were dispatched to Alton Towers after embers landed on a roof during a fireworks display on Sunday night.
Two fire engines and a ladder platform were sent to the theme park in Alton, Staffordshire, in an incident described as “quite small” by a spokesman for Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service.
“It’s just some embers in a roof from one of either the fireworks or the bonfire that they’ve had,” he said.
The spokesman confirmed there was no burning fire or flames at the resort, which welcomes hundreds of people to its annual “ultimate Fireworks Event” every November.
Visitors are invited to experience rides in the dark until 9pm over three days, November 2 to 4, as the curtain comes down on the theme park season. Alton Towers is now closed for the winter and will reopen in spring 2013.
A spokesman for the park was not available for comment on the incident.
