A new director of waste services has been appointed at ISS Facility Services UK and Ireland.
Ian Baxter, former managing director of Croydon-based Hydro-Cleansing, is the first person to hold the position at the company.
Mr Baxter has worked in the outsourced waste industry for more than 15 years and has previously held a number of high-profile roles at public and private firms.
He previously worked at Sustainability in Sport and held the post of chief operating officer at Rank Metal Group. He was also managing director of Mitie’s waste and environmental division.
The latest announcement comes after ISS UK recently secured several major deals, including a £10 million soft services contract at Heathrow Airport and an extension of its integrated FM deal with Heinz.
In November last year, the group also appointed a new managing director of its cleaning division. Thomas Kempf, who previously worked at ISS Denmark for 14 years, is a former senior vice-president and global head of facilities management at Saxo Bank.
