Facility managers and people interested in that career will get the chance to mingle at this year’s Facilities Management Careers Conference in July.
The free event at the University of the Arts London building is open to everyone, from current facilities employees to people looking to change careers and young people still at school.
Delegates will be able to take part in workshops, attend lectures and see presentations as well as networking with people who may be able to further their careers.
Hosted by the BIFM Rising FMs Special Interest Group, the conference will be attended by recruitment professionals, consultants, trainers, employers and other facilities management workers.
One of its aims is to demonstrate the opportunities the sector can offer across the world and the paths a career might take, in order to encourage fresh talent into the sector.
It will also look to the future and see what skills might be required as roles develop and offer different opportunities.
Rising FMs chairman Jason Gurd said the job is “dynamic” and he wanted to make sure anyone who is interested can access career steps in facilities management.
He said the conference was a “great platform” to support current facilities workers as well as showing new entrants the positives on offer
The Facilities Management Careers Conference opens at 4pm on July 10 and closes at 9pm. Delegates can register to attend online.
