The association which promotes the ventilation hygiene industry in Europe and lobbies for its safety legislation has re-elected its president in the role.
George Friend, the Ventilation Surveys and Services chief operations officer, was chosen once more to be head of the European Ventilation Hygiene Association (EHVA).
In addition, Tim Larson was re-elected as vice president.
The association, formed in 1999 by European representatives, plans a European Ventilation Hygiene Technician training seminar in November in Berlin, which will also host July’s European EHVA meeting.
The association, formed to bring professionalism to the young industry – which was felt to need more transparency in regulation – has members in companies involved in ventilation hygiene such as contractors, manufacturers and university professionals.
