A Beatles-themed hotel in Liverpool was evacuated last week after a fire was thought to have broken out in the penthouse suite.
Firefighters were called to the Hard Day’s Night hotel on North John Street after a blaze started on February 14.
The hotel was evacuated and firefighters from Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene.
The fire was brought under control by eight fire appliances around six hours later with an air conditioning fault thought to be the cause.
Guests were evacuated within 10 minutes and no-one was injured in the incident, according to the hotel’s owner Mike Dewey.
He told Click Liverpool that the cause of the fire had not yet been determined.
He added that a thorough investigation of the hotel would be taking place – with the safety of all floors assessed.
In England and Wales all commercial properties and workplaces are required to have a fire risk assessment under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
