A chemical spill near Buckingham Palace caused three people to be taken to hospital.
Complaining of sore throats and headaches, six people were assessed by ambulance crews at the scene, before three were taken to hospital.
Scotland Yard said the spill near the Palace involved materials that fell from a lorry.
A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman said emergency services had closed off parts of Buckingham Palace Road.
“So far, three people have been taken to hospital,” she said. “Staff are assessing six at the scene. Symptoms are sore throats and headaches – minor injuries.”
