Facilities managers have been asked to participate in an annual survey to improve sustainability within their organisation.
The British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) has launched its annual survey to try and gauge what is taking place in workplaces around the country.
The seventh annual BIFM Sustainability Survey hopes to provide a valuable insight into the responsibilities, incentives and barriers presenting facilities managers on a daily basis.
Organisations have faced a range of economic and environmental pressures over the last 12 months, while tighter stipulations require firms across all sectors of the economy to tackle sustainability issues.
Lucy Black, chairwoman of the BIFM Sustainability Special Interest Group, said: “It is important for us to hear from FMs in all kinds of workplaces. What is really helping them to make their operations more sustainable? What is holding them back?
“The facilities management community is great at sharing its knowledge and experiences and takes part in this survey every year and we are looking forward to having another good response rate to build on the survey’s findings.”
