More than 100 firefighters were required to contain a fire at an industrial estate in Lancashire.
Fire engines arrived at the blaze at the Lancashire Enterprise Business Park in Leyland at about 5pm on Wednesday after a fire at a building storing toilet paper spread to other neighbouring buildings.
A building containing chemicals was eventually engulfed in flames, according to Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, and 20 homes were consequently evacuated as a precautionary measure. However, the chemicals were not harmful and nobody was hurt.
Some residents were asked to remain indoors and keep windows shut for a period of time because of smoke caused by the fire.
A spokesman for Lancashire Police said there had been no reports of injuries and there was no reason to believe that anybody was in any danger as a result of the fire.
Some of the roads surrounding the industrial estate were closed and parts of the West Coast Main Line were shut for a period of time following the blaze.
