Dozens of residents are set to be evacuated from another large apartment complex in Dublin after they were deemed to be living in a fire hazard.
Tenants from The Laurels, situated next to the Dundrum shopping centre in the south of the city, will be moved into new homes rent-free while repairs are carried out on the building after it failed fire safety checks.
Tenants have been told by Kevin Maguire, of Mullingar-based management company Bennett Property, that remedial works will ensure the building complies with fire controls.
While repairs are carried out tenants will not have to pay any utility bills or transport and removal costs.
Also known as The View, the Laurels is in the hands of receiver KPMG following the collapse of construction firm Pierse and Tuskar Asset Management.
Last October 240 residents, who had been having a long-running dispute with developer Tom McFeely, were evacuated from the Priory Hall complex in north Dublin.
