A new tool has been launched to help facilities managers get an idea of customer satisfaction with their services.
The Facilities Management Quality Index is the brainchild of Lucy Black and Gordon Ludlow, both of whom are vastly experienced in the sector and have links with the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM).
It is fast, simple and affordable use. All of the questions have been carefully compiled to reflect client and customer priorities, while each site or user group can customise the questions to suit their own needs.
The aim is to build database of survey responses over time that will allow benchmarking against other comparable sites.
Chris Moriarty, BIFM’s head of insight and corporate affairs, is confident the web-based tool will be a success.
He believes it will help facilities managers engage with their users and refine their services by giving them the evidence they need to make important decisions, while also supporting discussions and negotiations with staff, contractors and senior management.
